I found this macro on the elitist jerks forums because i was having issues using the modifier commands in the past, this one worked great and has been till today: you do not need a macro for this at all. The "self cast" option is in the WoW interface itself. It already has the option there to press "alt" to self cast. You need to merely click it on.
